The daily brief is the straight man: the facts stay real and the framing is the joke, with no invented quotes and no made-up wrongdoing.
Every brief and Side Pot story gets graded after it publishes, on the writing and the art, and the notes get fed back into the prompts that write tomorrow's. Nobody reads the grade before publishing and it never changes a story after the fact. Ray reads it later, wincing.
